Zopa, a UK-based digital bank, has raised Β£68m in an equity funding round led by A.P. Moller Holding, alongside existing investors.
Founded in 2020, Zopa combines digital banking agility with 20 years of lending expertise. It has lent over Β£13bn to UK consumers and amassed Β£5bn in deposits, with Β£3bn currently on balance sheet. Zopa serves over 1.3 million customers with innovative solutions, including regulated BNPL and retail finance products.
This funding will fuel the launch of Zopaβs flagship current account in 2025 and a GenAI-powered proposition to revolutionise how customers interact with their money. The bank plans to further expand its financial product offerings to support its goal of becoming Britainβs best bank.
Recent achievements include partnerships with major UK retailers like John Lewis and Octopus Energy, enabling customers to access better-priced credit and market-leading saving products while improving financial health.
