Fuel Ventures has co-led a £300k investment in PlanningHub, a platform which allows you to access planning information for property development with ease using AI. By streamlining decision-making and reducing planning risk, the investment will support the platform in its efforts in tackling the housing crisis globally and build upon its revolutionary technology which has the potential to save the UK economy £1.2 billion annually.
As the first scalable solution of its kind, PlanningHub leverages AI to automate and simplify planning data access, eliminating time-consuming, error-prone manual work while delivering instant, precise insights for developers, investors, and local authorities.
Since securing this investment, PlanningHub has accelerated its mission to make planning data more accessible, streamlining a complex process to enhance decision-making and support efforts to tackle the housing crisis globally. Its technology empowers under-resourced local planning authorities and private sector professionals and has the potential to save the UK economy £1.2 billion annually.
Founded by graduates of the Antler accelerator programme, PlanningHub has benefited from its funding, mentorship, and extensive customer network. It has also secured two prestigious UKRI grants: the highly competitive Smart Grant, awarded to the most innovative ideas and strongest teams across all sectors, and the Bridge AI Grant, which supports AI adoption in critical industries. Additionally, in 2024, PlanningHub was selected from 150 applicants to join the UK’s only PropTech accelerator, the Geovation programme, reinforcing its ambition to establish the UK as a global leader in PropTech and PlanTech.
Leading the company, CEO Ewa Moskwiak brings over 18 years of expertise in planning and architecture, while CTO Professor Dr. Harald Braun contributes more than 35 years of AI experience and a track record of founding seven successful tech start-ups. Together, they are driving PlanningHub’s mission to modernise and transform the planning sector.
