Northflank, a London-based cloud infrastructure platform, has raised £18m in funding, comprising a £13m Series A led by Bain Capital Ventures and a £5m seed round led by Vertex Ventures US. Other participants include Kindred Ventures, Tapestry VC, Pebblebed, and Uncorrelated Ventures. Founded by Will Stewart and Frederik Brix, Northflank simplifies app and database deployment with a real-time, self-service platform built on Kubernetes, enabling developers to build, deploy, and scale workloads on any cloud.
The funding will support Northflank’s mission to enhance developer experiences and expand its team. Companies like Sentry and Writer already benefit from its solutions, which replace fragmented tools with unified, scalable workflows. Northflank’s BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud) offering and Infrastructure as Code capabilities give engineering teams flexibility and control without sacrificing speed or reliability. CEO Will Stewart highlighted the platform’s ability to cut through infrastructure complexity, freeing developers to focus on shipping code.
