Cogna, a London-based startup, has raised Β£12m in a Series A round led by Notion Capital, with participation from Hoxton Ventures and Chalfen Ventures. Founded by Ben Peters, the technical co-founder of Five AI, Cogna leverages generative AI and other tooling to create bespoke enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Its platform allows nontechnical users to describe workflows in natural language, which its AI then converts into tailored software.
The company, founded in May 2023, previously raised a Β£4m seed round, supported by investors including Hermann Hauser and Five AI co-founder Stan Boland. Cogna's solutions are already in use by clients such as Cadent Gas and Network Plus, delivering software that integrates into their operations seamlessly while bypassing legacy ERP systems.
The new funding will support the company's mission to challenge traditional IT consultancies like Wipro and Capgemini, enhancing its AI-driven capabilities and scaling its operations.
