Blackdot Solutions, a Cambridge-based cybersecurity startup, has raised £4.5m in a funding round led by Maven Capital Partners, with £3.7m from Maven’s Venture Capital Trusts and £350,000 from ScaleUp Group. The company develops Videris, a SaaS platform that helps organisations gather, analyse, and visualise data for intelligence and investigations, serving government, law enforcement, and large corporates.
The investment will support Blackdot’s expansion, including growing its technical and business development teams, enhancing automation and AI capabilities, and scaling its go-to-market strategy. Operating in the fast-growing Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) market, Blackdot aims to capitalise on increasing regulatory scrutiny and demand for advanced risk management and compliance tools.
